What
is Destination Imagination?
DI is
an exhilarating educational activity in which students work in teams
to solve Challenges and present their solutions at
Tournaments. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work
together and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements
of the Challenges. Participants gain more than just
basic knowledge and skills- they learn to unleash their
imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving.
Annually, 72,000 children in more than 6,000 schools participate in
DI. This year DI expects to have 15,000 teams in 50 states and
30 countries around the world.

How
Do I do DI?

Challenge Previews!
How can your kids, your classroom, your club, your homeschool,
your friends join the fun? It's easy! It starts with purchasing
a DI Team Number, and you're off and running. DI Team Challenges and
program materials are released annually on September 1. A typical
season runs anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks, with most teams organizing
between October and January. Team Manager trainings are offered
around the state from September through January. Appraiser trainings
are held in February and March, and our state tournaments are held in the
spring.

ImagiNation(R) is a non-profit organization
supported by affiliates (states, provinces, and nations) working together
to offer a global, youth-centered creative problem-solving program. This
international organization for kindergarten through college students
teaches life skills and expands imaginations through team-based creative
